Boone Hall Plantation Wedding | Monica & Mike

Boone Hall Plantation Wedding

I have been so excited to share Monica and Mike’s wedding at the Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston! This wedding was such a fun adventure. I haven’t really explored the south too much and definitely never shot anything in this part of the country. I feel super lucky that this year I’ve shot in soooo many new places, and this one was such a treat! The bride Monica is our roommates sister (and our roommate happens to be an incredibly talented photographer, so I felt super honored she connected me with her sister!). Traveling to Charleston with our roommate and her family was so special and made it feel so personal even though I didn’t know the couple before this trip. Monica reached out to me over a year before the wedding gushing about her gorgeous venue that was used as a set in The Notebook (FOR REAL!) and where celebrities (cough cough Blake Lively cough cough) have gotten married and how excited she was that this was HER venue. It really is such a gorgeous property and was so fun to shoot. The Spanish moss and ‘mile of trees’ leading up to the house where they had their ceremony was so stunning, and I was obsessed with all the brick and architecture. A hurricane may have been coming and the weather was pretty crazy, but it was perfect. Check out their video include below by Megan Rae Films if you want to hear the best vows you’ve ever heard and have a solid cry.

So stoked on this gallery and felt so honored to be a part of this day!
