Pacific Northwest Tiny Home Engagement Session

This girl right here. She has been such a light in my life since the day I met her. We met a wedding (naturally) and she quickly became my friend. My first ever photographer friend and always so generous with her time and knowledge as I was starting my journey as a wedding photographer. Fast forward a few years and she photographed MY WEDDING in Kauai. I know I speak for everyone who knows her that this girl LOVES people, loves them hard and relentlessly. To see her with man who returns that love to her IS THE FREAKING COOLEST. I couldn't think of a better man to be with Shelby. When she asked me to shoot her wedding it was like... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! The opportunity to show you even an ounce of the love that you've been showing to me and everyone else over the years?! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Shelby has been talking about building a tiny home as long as I've known her. She started building it last year and decided to reach out to the cute guy from high school who is a carpenter and builds houses for a living. "Let's meet for beer and talk about building stuff" and the rest, they say, is history. Now they are spending their engagement building their tiny house together, the house they will live in as they start their marriage. I love that we shot in the house before it was finished, it's mid-progress, BUT what a perfect representation of this time in their lives. I LOVE IT YOU GUYS I LOVE IT SO MUCH. One of my favorite and most treasured engagement sessions.

Being around Shelby and Zack is something special, and I can't WAIT to celebrate their marriage with them this fall.
