WHEN A WEDDING PLANNER GETS MARRIED… just wait until you see this beautiful Orange County wedding at the incredible Rancho Las Lomas!

I met Kimmie about a year and a half ago when she was planning one of her best friends wedding (remember that incredible intimate beach wedding followed by the couples gender reveal during the reception? Yeah, that one!) and we became fast friends. I was so thrilled when I saw she got engaged and was SO stoked when she asked me to shoot her wedding at Rancho Las Lomas because I knew it was going to be amazing. She pulled together an incredible vendor team and everything came together sooooooo well. Rancho Las Loma was the perfect setting for their huge party (and after party because they are that fun).

Some of my favorite highlights: they transformed a parking lot into the ceremony space (and it was beautiful), the brightly colored florals, the Spanish architecture of Rancho Las Lomas (literally what all my California dreams are made of), THE GROOMS DAD IS IN A BAND AND THEY PLAYED THE RECPETION (and yes it was as fun as it sounds), Kimmie’s Grace Loves Lace dress that fit her sooooo beautifully… I could go on and on.

Quick note – I can’t recommend having a live band enough. The energy is INSANE with live music – people love it and I’ve never seen so many people dance so hard for so long as I have at this wedding. And having the grooms dad up there made it even better. Kimmie + Scott even joined them up on stage for the last song and I couldn’t think of a better way to end the night.

They also hired me to shoot their rehearsal dinner – AND IT WAS SO FUNNNNNN! Toasts are my favorite part of every wedding to shoot, so shooting a rehearsal dinner is basically just an extra time I get to shoot toasts which is a win-win for me. This rehearsal dinner was particularly special to shoot, because Kimmie and Scott revealed the gender of their BABY (BOYYYYY!!!)! I know y’all are here to see wedding photos, so I put those first, but at the bottom of the post I included some from the rehearsal dinner because it was such a beautiful event.
