Winter Wedding at BRICK!

Amanda and Bill’s wedding at BRICK in San Diego was SUCH a fun way to end out my 2018 wedding season. Winter weddings in San Diego are the best because the sun is still shining like the rest of the year but you can also get away with deep, bold, moody colors!
We started the day in their own home (which was conveniently down the street from BRICK!) where they got ready, do their first look and some portraits and hang out with their dog. They have such a beautiful home in Point Loma - I remember the first time I saw it before the wedding I was like ‘UHHHHH WE ARE TAKING WEDDING PHOTOS HERE RIGHT?!’ :D I love the older architecture, all the white walls and gorgeous window light, and their backyard garden made the perfect backdrop for some portraits!
Having the wedding at BRICK was perfect setting for their cozy winter wedding - and the rich colors of the building was perfect next to the rich color palette of the florals + decor. Their ceremony arch was an incredible chuppah created by the florist - most of it suspending from the ceiling. IT WAS SO SPECTACULAR. And the guests were seated around them from all sides - imagine being surrounded 360 degrees by everyone you love! What a beautiful environment to get married in and it was such a treat to shoot.
My other favorite detail was the photobooth backdrop - the geometric shapes of the grid with the florals and the text with their last name looks SO COOL. I’m not explaining it well so you have to check it out to see haha. Speaking of their last name, they COMBINED both their last names into one new last name they both took. How cool is that?
