Herb & Wood Wedding

Landon and Christine’s wedding at Herb & Wood in Little Italy, San Diego was so romantic and elegant. Words that come to mind when I think of this wedding: classy, urban, upscale. Herb & Wood is SUCH a unique space - it’s an incredible restaurant, market and art gallery, which made for such a cool vibe for their reception. It felt upscale and elegant - like the classiest party you’ve ever been to but then also REALLY FUN. The ceremony was held at Waterfront Park, San Diego - complete with a gorgeous view of the bay and the incredible Art Deco architecture of the county administration building. I personally LOVE any opportunities to shoot portraits in front of the county admin building - having the ceremony at Waterfront Park meant be got to take advantage of all that incredible architecture for their first look and formal portraits!
Then the Old Town Trolley showed up and it was the coolest way to transport everyone from Waterfront Park to Herb & Wood!
Landon + Christine live in Little Italy - I can’t imagine how special it is to take a stroll through your neighborhood and visit all the locations of your wedding day on a regular basis! So cool. I love how intentional they are - we also started in Little Italy at their first date spot during their engagement session and then shot at other spots that are significant to them. The put such a high priority on the sentiment and personal value to decisions around their wedding. Even Waterfront Park is special to them - they spend most nights walking the park unwinding, catching up about their day, and walking their dog Ollie (who made an appearance at the wedding dressed up in a little tux!!!). :) They also made their own reception table centerpieces and got to keep them after - such a cool tangible keepsake from the wedding day!
Check this gallery out - I loved working with Landon + Christine SO much. They have incredible taste, such a sophisticated aesthetic, a great eye for design, and had the time of their life at their party! Also, the food was delicious - anyone in San Diego or visiting needs to hit up Herb & Wood and get themselves a meal asap!
